Fis for the funny things they are constantly doing that keeps the days warm and sunny even when the challenges pile up. 

 

Ais for all the things they do whether they are good or bad simply because I not only love them I happen to like them.

 

Mis for the many times we have always come to the aid of each other regardless of the crisis or challenge whether we believe in it or not.

 

Iis for the idiot things we seem to disagree on once in awhile.

 

Lis for the love that flows through my family no matter how far away or how close by they may be.

 

Yis for “You Made My Day” as I think back over 77 years and remember all the people in my family, those gone by, those still here, they young ones just getting their feet wet on the streets of life and I am very grateful to be part of this family.

About the Author & Artist. Arlene Wright-Correll (1935- ___), popular American award winning Artist, published author, columnist, & is the resident art instructor for Avalon Stained Glass School, at the age of 68, decided to pick up her paint brushes again after 54 years and paint.  She is a cancer and stroke survivor who is able to strive forward each and everyday to welcome the beauty of this small planet.  She also is a China & Porcelain painter, Sandblasting & Etching, Stained Glass & fused glass Artisan. She is one of the six KY Artists who worked 6 months to create the dolls for Journey Jots in 2006 and a Smithsonian Institute art exhibit in 2008. Her published books can be found here . She is also a featured writer for GreenThumbArticles.com and teaches Art Vacation Holidays at Avalon Stained Glass School and Creativity Center.

It looks like one of those days where people are laughing and chatting and people are giving each other a piece of their minds, but with smiles on their faces. Every body is just having fun. And then snap. They are frozen in immortality.

Oh They are, they were and we are so glad we made the effort to have this get together because a few months later our middle son unexpected passed away and 5 years later our youngest son unexpectedly passed away. So this memory is precious to all of us.
