All I Want for Christmas©

This is a very hard article for me to write using the title as a topic since I cannot think of anything I want for Christmas that money can buy.  I suppose I could sit down and create a wish list so I did and after 20 minutes there was nothing I could really put on it.  Of course I could do the “peace on earth” thing, but I know that “peace on earth” only begins with me not with trying to make others do their “peace on earth” thing.

I think part of the problem with our society is the wanting of things.  We seem to want a lot and really we only need only five things in life.

The first thing I need is air.

The second thing I need is water.

The third thing I need is food.

The fourth thing I need is shelter.

The fifth thing I need is some sort of skin covering to protect me from the heat or cold.

After that everything is a want.

Of course there are a few things I want such as good health and no one can give that to me except me.

I could add wanting more time to my life providing I had good health, but in the event I did not, then forget about adding more time to my wish list.

Basically I have decided I have everything I want and unless some of the things I have break down then I may need to replace them providing I still want them.

So here are the things I have…. A great family though some of them are miles away, but we communicate, a great life’s companion, a great home to live in, no debts, bills or worries, seemingly good health considering my age, clean air to breath, water when I am thirsty and even some good wine and champagne thrown in now and then from family and friends who try to keep me supplied, food when I am hungry, excellent and a very pleasant shelter, more skin covering I will ever use even though lots of it is covered with paint stains.

I don’t need or want a “bucket list” because I have been able to do more things in a life time than most 10 people combined do in theirs.

I don’t need a “Christmas list” because every day around here is Christmas.

It can’t get any better than this!!!!
